World Book Day!

Yesterday was World Book Day and people dressed up as lots of different characters from thier favouirte book.

Evie dressed up as Belle.

Tallulah dressed up as Pippi Long Stocking and her brother dressed up as Fantastic Mr Fox!

Tye dressed up as Harry Potter. Harry Potter is Tye's favourite book!

Grace dressed up as Wilbur the cat from Winnie the Witch.

Owen dressed up as Ron Weasley.

Jessica dressed up as Gretel - she even had some bread crumbs as a prop!

Lily-Mae dressed up as Winnie the Witch.

We watched the teachers do a really funny play. It was called Turkey Lurkey. Mr Parish was the turkey and Mrs Pollard was the Queen. Miss Reeson was maid marion and she was crying because she had lost Robin Hood!

We had a brilliant day!

Internet Safety Day Take 2

We each got a heart and had to draw and write how we can help our friends stay safe on line.

Sam wrote 'tell your mum and dad before you go online'.

Scarlett wrote 'if something pops up and you are unsure, tell an adult'.

Niamh wrote 'if someone is bullying you, report the message and tell a trusted adult'.

Tallulah and Rahaul said 'if something bad comes up, tell an adult'.

Jessica said 'make sure you know the people who you are talking to'.

Internet Safety Day 2016

Today is Safer Internet Day.

We have been talking about how to stay safe on the internet. This is what we have been up to:

We read a story about Smartie the Penguin and learnt how to stay safe by telling an adult if something makes us uncomfortable or something goes wrong - Olivia.

We learnt not to tell anyone our password - Nathan.

We should tell an adult if something pops up that we are unsure about - Tallulah.

We have learnt that you need to be a certain age to go on some websites - Harvey.

You should never tell anyone your full name or address - Harry.

Don't give any personal information out about you or your family - Lily-Mae.

Make sure you ask a grownup before you go onto the internet – Lauren.

Go onto the internet with your mum and dad - Sam.

Ask for permission before you use the computer and don't give your phone number out - Ruby.

If something goes wrong tell a trusted adult - Jessica.

 

Queen Elizabeth I By Tallulah and Olivia

Tallulah and Olivia have also been researching Queen Elizabeth I as part of our History Unit. These are some of the facts they have found out.

  • Queen Elizabeth I was born in Greenwich Palace in London
  • She was born on the 7th September 1533.
  • Elizabeth loved the garden and woods.
  • Elizabeth's father, King Henry VIII wanted a son so her could be the heir to the throne. In Tudor times people thought that Kings made better rulers than Queens.

Facts on Queen Elizabeth I by Ruby

Ruby has been doing some research on Queen Elizabeth at home. This is what she found out.

Queen Elizabeth was born on 7th September 1533.

She became Queen in 1558 aged 25.

She was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife Anne Boylen.

She had one borther called Edward and a sister called Mary.

This week, we have been learning about Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth I.  Queen Victoria was born in 1837 and died in 1901. Queen Elizabeth was born in 1558 and died in 1603.  What do you know about these two famous Queens?
