50th Anniversary Celebrations

Thank you to everyone who supported our 50th anniversary celebrations on Friday 19th May. The day got off to a great start with our annual Festival on the Field celebrating each decade the school has been open through a mixture of song and dance to an audience of hundreds of parents, grandparents, ex pupils and staff. This was followed by a BBQ whilst visitors had the chance to browse through old photos and school memorabilia as well as looking at displays created by each year group focussing on life in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and the 00s. Children had great fun researching favourite games, TV programmes, hair styles and fashions for their displays on their chosen decade! The day finished with a special anniversary disco for pupils in KS2 where children took the chance to use their dancing skills, showcased earlier in the day. We couldn’t quite believe our luck as the rain that had blighted the rest of the week held off.
