Trustees’ Information and Duties
The Local Governing Body promotes the vision, ethos and strategic direction of a particular school within a Multi Academy Trust. Local governors are a critical friend to the headteacher and hold her to account for the school’s performance. They also oversee the use of resources to ensure money is well spent.
The Chairperson of the Local Governing Body is Mrs Helen Ashcroft who can be contacted via Marlborough Primary School, Tytherington Drive, Macclesfield, Cheshire. SK10 2HJ
At Marlborough, the Local Governing Body holds two meetings per term. One meeting is focussed on Pupils and the second meeting is focussed on Resources. There are up to thirteen members of the Local Governing Board:

The Governing Body's Structure and Responsibilities
Trustees set the strategic direction for the Multi Academy Trust, ensure that the trust pursues its objectives and are accountable for the educational performance and financial stability of all schools within the Trust. As charity trustees, they must also ensure that they are complying with charity law requirements.
Mulberry Academy Trust has up to eight Trustees plus the Headteacher who is an Ex Officio Trustee. The Trustees meet at least once per term.

The Names of All Governors
The Trustee Board also has an Audit Committee to provide assurance over the suitability of, and compliance with, its financial systems and operational controls. The Chair of the Audit Committee is Mr Toby Lankester.
